Is it possible that these two beings, Yahweh, God of the Bible, and Allah, God of the Quran could be the same God? From the discussion thus far, it is clear that their completely divergent moral attributes should be sufficient evidence to the fact that these two beings cannot be the same person (see 1 John 2:23 again in this regard).

Muslims believe that they worship the true God and that their God, Allah, is also the God of the Jews and the Christians. Sincere belief that you worship the true God does not make your God the true God. If it were true, then it would mean that all religions do worship the true God, as some people nowadays want to believe. The Bible, however, does not make provision for that.

King David of the Bible, who is acknowledged as a prophet by Islam, said, according to 2 Samuel 7:22:

"Therefore You are great, O Lord GOD (YAHWEH). For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You"

In the light of all the facts presented in this book, by way of citations from the relevant books, it is for the reader to decide for himself who is truly God, and what or who the other one is. Is the true God the one who is Love, or is it the one who expects violence and unloving behaviour from his followers? The reader’s decision cannot change the truth, but it can affect his final destination.

To make the right decision about who the true God is, however, is not enough to guarantee eternal life with God. Repentance and complete surrender to God must follow the decision. This means regeneration and a new life in Christ, where He reigns in the life of the new Christian. That is what saving faith is.

According to the Bible in 1 John 2: 9-11:

He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes” (NKJ)

Someone who hates is in darkness and will not be able to see the truth. It is important to stop hating in order to overcome the darkness and to allow oneself to see and to make the correct decisions.

True worship is total dedication to God in Christ. To worship the true God, Yahweh, is the only way to reach real love, because God is love. This real love enables people to find fulfilment, harmony, and the peace of God that transcends all understanding. There is no alternative way to reach these things than through true worship of the true God, Yahweh. Worldly prosperity and pleasure are only temporary and tend to lure one away from a life of true worship of God. This is the reason why God frequently calls people to a life of worship. He does not need our worship but He knows that we need it and that it is there for our benefit. That is why the psalmist says in Psalm 84:10:

"For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness."

True worship is not a goal in itself; rather it is a way into the presence of God, His kingdom, where He reigns in love, peace, and harmony.

Worship by all people is the goal of Allah. He says in Surah 51:56:

"I created the jinn (spirit beings) and humankind only that they might worship Me." (Pickthall, 1997:379)

If worship of Allah is the only reason for man's existence, then it is understandable why neglect of this worship is not tolerated and is severely punished in Islam, on earth as well as in the hereafter.

The correct answer is to be found in the Bible. Just because some people do not believe it, does not change the fact.
